With the Motsepe Foundation Championship gaining momentum, Casric Stars and Upington City head into the weekend fixtures full of confidence after strong opening wins.

Casric Stars began their campaign with a 3-0 away victory over Black Leopards, aided by two own goals and a late strike from Lunga Mtshali. They now host Milford FC at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Friday, with Milford also coming off a win against Lerumo Lions.

Upington City impressed with a 4-2 win over Kruger United and will face Leicesterford at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday. Leicesterford lost their opener to Gomora United.

Elsewhere, Cape Town City travel to face Hungry Lions at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium, following a goalless draw against Venda Football Academy.
