Stellenbosch lead the pack
Stellenbosch lead the way in the 2018/19 National First Division after they claimed an away win over TS Sporting, while Ubuntu Cape Town remain winless and stuck at the bottom of the log.
Saturday’s action in round eight saw Ajax Cape Town held goalless at home by Ubuntu Cape Town in a derby clash (with Ubuntu later naming Vladislav Heric as their new coach), while the clash between Royal Eagles and TS Galaxy also ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
Elsewhere, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila won 2-0 at home to Mbombela United thanks to a brace from Onyedikachi Ononogbu and Stellenbosch rose to the top of the standings with a 2-0 away win over TS Sporting – goals from Iqraam Rayners and Ashley du Preez secured the victory for Steve Barker’s team.
