Baroka thrash Celtic in Diski finale

Bloemfontein Celtic spurned their chance to win the Multichoice Diski Challenge after being trounced 6-3 by bottom side Baroka FC at the Tsakane Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Despite the collapse to allow Mamelodi Sundowns to win the title, one of the shining lights was forward Tshegofatso Mabasa who finished the campaign with 12 goals in 15 matches.
Vuyisile Wana opened the scoring in the 11th minute for the title hopefuls, before the home side equalised mid-way through the half with Sepana Letsoalo getting onto the score-sheet.
Mabaso put Siwelele back in the lead just before the break, but in the second-half the Celtic defence leaked goals trying to push forward.
Brain Masha, Letsoalo, Isaac Selemela and Sepana Letsoalo all scored in the first 10 minutes of the second half to hand Bakgaka a commanding 5-2 lead, before Mabaso completed his brace in the 78th minute to give the visitors a glimmer of hope.
Nonetheless, Baroka who've been woeful all season finished off a resounding 6-3 victory when Sipho Mmakgolane finished off the scoring in the 85th minute as they recorded only their second win of the season.
The win for the home side lifted them off the foot of the table at the expense of Supersport United, while Celtic finished as the 2017 MDC runners-up.
