Moment of silence for struggle stalwarts

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is deeply saddened by the passing of two distinguished struggle stalwarts, Gertrude Shope and Lungi Mnganga-Gcabashe.
Ma Gertrude Shope was a trailblazer in South Africa’s democratic history, serving as a Member of Parliament in the country’s first democratic parliament in 1994 and previously as President of the ANC Women’s League in the early 1990s.
Lungi Mnganga-Gcabashe served as a Member of Parliament in recent years and was the Deputy President of the ANC Women’s League at the time of her passing.
A moment of silence will be observed in their honour at all Betway Premiership fixtures this weekend.
May their souls repose peacefully.
