Durban New Beach Fan Park an alternative to watch #TKO2018 Soweto Derby
Thousands of football fans are expected to converge at Durban’s New Beach for the Fan Park of the Telkom Knockout Soweto Derby semi-final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
The Fan Park, to be held on the beach front in Durban, will be an alternative public viewing venue for football supporters and members of the public.
Durban’s New Beach Fan Park is an opportunity for those who have not managed to get their hands on the tickets for the eagerly anticipated Soweto Derby to experience a match-like atmosphere with hundreds of other football enthusiasts.
The public viewing will start at 12h00.
The match will kick-off at 15h00.
The Durban Fan Park will be at New Beach – Dr Pixley ka Seme Street (formerly West Street).
While the Fan Park along the beach is center of attention, there will be a number of public viewing areas in and around Durban.
Other public viewing places will include:
- Max’s Lifestyle in UMlazi
- Artizen in KwaMashu
- Comfort Zone in Clermont
The League strongly encourages those people who don’t have a ticket not to come to Moses Mabhida Stadium but instead go to any of the public viewing areas.
