Sundowns tackle log leaders Baroka

Mamelodi Sundowns will square off with Baroka FC in an Absa Premiership match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday. Kick-off is at 7:30pm.

The Brazilians are hoping to bounce back to winning ways in the league after drawing 0-0 with Chippa United in Port Elizabeth over two weeks ago.

As a result, Sundowns placed fifth on the league standings with 16 points from nine matches. They are three points behind log leaders Baroka FC.

Meanwhile, Baroka drew 2-2 with Platinum Stars in their previous league match in Polokwane over two weeks ago.

Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele remained at the top of the leagues standings with 19 points from 12 matches. They are a point above second-placed Orlando Pirates.

Denis Onyango:< The Ugandan international, who is one of the best players in the African continent, has kept two consecutive clean sheets in the league for Sundowns. The experienced goalkeeper will look keep another clean sheet against Baroka.

Khama Billiat: The Zimbabwean international remains an important member of the Sundowns attack having scored twice in his last two league games. The forward will be keen to inspire the Brazilians to victory at home.

Olaleng Shaku: The hard-working defender is an inspirational captain for Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele having missed only one league game this season. The Baroka skipper will be eager to lead his side to victory against a much-fancied Sundowns team.

Mpho Kgaswane: The Botswana international is oozing with confidence after netting his second league goal of the season against Platinum Stars. The skilful winger will be hoping to score again and help Baroka secure an away victory.
