Dikwena face tricky Celtic test

Platinum Stars will be chasing a spot in the Telkom Knockout semifinals when they host Bloemfontein Celtic in the Last Eight on Saturday afternoon at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

Kick-off is at 3:30pm.

Fresh from a win over Maritzburg United in the Last 16 and a win over Ajax Cape Town in the Absa Premiership, the hosts are motivated.

The Rustenburg-based side has seemingly turned the corner after struggling in the opening stages of the 2017/18 Premier Soccer League season.

Although coach Roger De Sa is still trying to ensure the team functions like a well-oiled machine, he will want a win over Siwelele.

On the other hand, the visitors are also brimming with confidence and will also want to claim a win to reach the next stage of the competition.

Having defeated SuperSport United in the previous round and the Team of Choice in the league this week, coach Veselin Jelusic wants a third win in all competitions.

The battle in Phokeng is set to produce fireworks come Saturday as both outfits have previously lifted the coveted trophy.

Siwelele last won it in 2012 as they defeated 2015 champions Mamelodi Sundowns, while Stars were victorious in 2013 after beating Orlando Pirates.
