Morton praises Nomvethe influence

AmaZulu FC central midfielder Michael Morton says they can learn a lot from their club teammate Siyabonga Nomvethe.
Morton has hit the ground running after joining Usuthu on a season-long loan deal from SuperSport United in the current 2017/18 campaign.
The 28-year-old hard-working player has started Usuthu’s two Absa Premiership matches against Free State Stars and Chippa United.
Morton is pleased to play alongside Nomvethe at Usuthu and he believes that the forward’s experience will be a big plus in the top flight this season.
“Well, Siyabonga Nomvethe is a great professional and a role model to many,” Morton told AmaZuluFC.net.
“He has been playing at the highest level for a very long time and there’s a lot that one can learn from him as a teammate.
Nomvethe, who turns 40 in December, 2017, was introduced in the second-half against Stars at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday.
“He’s done an unbelievable job of taking care of his body – hence he is still active and playing professional football,” the experienced player added.
“It’s great to have him as a teammate in the team. His experience will be very important to the team this season.”
AmaZulu’s next league match will be against Maritzburg United in the KwaZulu-Natal Derby at the King Zwelithini Stadium on 12 September 2017.
