Ramphele hoping for Usuthu improvement

AmaZulu speedster, Augustine Ramphele feels a friendly match against Real Kings played on 09 August may have given newly appointed Usuthu coach, Cavin Johnson enough indication on what to work on ahead of the beginning of the season.
Although the match which was played at Moses Mabhida Stadium Outer Fields saw the 24 year old right-winger and his teammate win 2-1, the Hammersdale based outfit provided a stern test.
Two of Usuthu’s target men Somila Nsundwayo and Mhlengi Cele were on the mark, with the latter scoring from the penalty pot.
“We could see some combinations coming from the guys, but it was not our best performance. There’s still room for improvement.”
“There were a lot of negatives to work on for future but I’m also quite sure there were a lot of positives that came from today.”
“The game was okay. I think the guys wanted to impress the new Coach since it’s important to make a good impression,” said Ramphele in an interview published on the club's official website.
AmaZulu open their Absa Premiership calendar with a Free State Stars home bout on 19 August at King Zwelithini Stadium, kickoff 15:00.
