No secrets in football - VV

Kaizer Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic is not concerned if Jomo Cosmos prepares to take them on using the latest matches the AmaKhosi have played in recently, in fact, he says it is expected.

Chiefs were in action recently against Orlando Pirates and Tottenham Hotspurs where their latest signings Keegan Ritchie, Tefu Mashamaite and Lehlohonolo Majoro were seen in action.

“In this day there are no secrets, we live in a time where everything can be seen on TV and on the internet so that is not a concern for me, and there is no secret about what we can do and what they can do. We know them, they know us, the question is who will be ready for battle,” the Serbian said.

Cosmos are believed to be a team that tackles hard and does not hold back, Vermezovic says they will throw back whatever the Ezenkosi throws at them.

“Don’t be surprised if we have more fouls than them. My players will not hold back and will go in for challenges. This is not a soft team, these players will battle. Cosmos have their style and we have ours, it will be interesting to see how we take them on. These boys are known as glamour boys and may be seen as soft, but not this generation, they will fight and kick too.”

“Our preparation has gone well and we will do our best as we usually do for the club, for the fans. I am satisfied with the players’ fitness and I don’t think there is a problem with them, except for the injuries,” he said with regards to midfielders Reneilwe Letsholonyane, George Lebese and striker Sthembiso Ngcobo who trained on separately from the rest of the squad.

“Yeye (Letshlonyane) is out for six weeks, and George is also out for six weeks. Sthembiso Ngcobo will also miss this match. Majoro also has to be assessed after last night’s match,” he referred to the Bafana Bafana match where Major, as Majoro is known, played in.

Kickoff is at 8:15pm at the Soccer City Stadium.
