Siyabonga Mdluli, Maritzburg United

We didn’t perform well, but I understand the pitch is not the one of best but I liked the players attitude.

First half was a little bit scrappy and we went to the dressing room knowing that we not playing a very nice football which we need to work hard and I believe we did that second half, happy for the boys that they fought so hard. It was not an easy match, a derby is always tough but they did put an effort and stayed concentrated, they equalised 1-1 and that shows a sign of great players, that’s an ingredient of success and I believe that they will stay fit on the ground, not becoming big headed then they will keep on grinding for the results until the end of the competition.

Well, definitely the first team players always add value because if you check, Mokate played for 45min, Kunene played 65min so those are the minutes that they had to add it’s very incorrect for them to get a game time…Anyway they add value and I’m very happy with the attitude because it’s very positive, it adds inspiration to the players.

I believe we could have done better with that first goal that conceded but I will still check the video to see what we can change but overall performance was good defensively and offensively I was happy but we can improve for the next game.

Golden Arrows, Papi Zothwane

We didn’t do well at the first 45min the game was a little bit scrappy or the field was bumpy, I don’t know but we didn’t have a good 45min but we came back in the second 45min because the first the first half we lost a lot of ball possession, so we told our boys that they must circulate ball behind of Maritzburg United defenders but I think certain things were done much better even though we conceded silly goals but our boys showed character.

We tried even though we still conceded but I still think we must concede less .We always had difficult errors within our central defenders but we always have a player that will commit errors that will proceed to a goal .We are going to work again this week, hopefully we will fix some things for next week’s game.

Bidvest Wits, Glen Salmon

It was bad they didn’t pitch up today, it was unfortunate that one of the players made a mistake and they got a corner out of that and a goal at the same time which is frustrating , we spoke about it at training. Their second goal was a great and then after they were chasing the game…it’s a difficult game but it’s annoying because it came from our own mistakes.

Last year we did miss quiet a lot ,we had a lot of under seventeen boys that came on and we are looking very good .That’s all is about, the development of the boys and their characters how they rise to the occasion .

We don’t have the pressure from above so I can’t speak for other clubs, so everyone knows that we are all about development and we have had the PHAKAMANI MAHLAMBI and that’s what is about , it’s about the boys learning as much as we know.

Kaizer Chiefs, Arthur Zwane

Well this was just a work in progress and I have mentioned this before and I will just mention it again, we are always looking for results so we should be training this boys as early from the development and we are preparing them for the higher stages .We are always looking for a high performance and if we score goals I’ll be happy.

Look at the goal we scored, they prepared for and that is the inspiration because millions and millions of kids want to play for Kaizer Chiefs and when they are given this opportunity they use it very wisely.

David Notoane, Mamelodi Sundowns

We know where we are as a team, and we have trimmed the team since last season and all of them have gone on loan to NFD as part of their development as we have a young experienced team and the results have shown defensively when we conceded 3 goal in 3 games so we are working hard at training to correct the errors for them to learn the hard way at times.

Obviously if you look at the team in terms of the performances and we looked the first 5 games to see where we are as a team, mathematically we still stand a chance as we are the title champion contenders…We have to be more realistic about where we are having 3 loses under our belt and it means the title is slipping out of our reach but we know we have to change the process of where we are.

Rayaan Jacobs, Orlando Pirates

The results are actually better than the performance as simple as that, we could have done better at the first half but we tried to fix things in the second half and struggled in the wide areas. second half we were a little bit better I think the results favours us a little bit and put some polish in the performance.

It doesn’t matter who we win against as long we collect three points it can be against defending champions or Baroka FC next week.

Of course we have to respect every team we play against that’s what we have to do as a club especially a big team like Orlando Pirates we have to respect all our opponents, plan this week accordingly, remain humble and we will takes losses as we take defeats, we ate some humble pie last week.

We had a good defence and our organisation has improved, we always said they if don’t concede we’ll win games.
