Black Leopards will be banking on their home ground advantage as they want to bag the full three points when they host Baroka FC in a 2016/17 Promotional Playoff match at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 3pm.

Lidoda Duvha are fresh from a convincing 3-1 win over Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday night in Cape Town.

However, coming to this encounter, they aware that a win will ensure they challenge Bakgaga ba Mphahlele for a place in the Absa Premiership next season.

Their playoff campaign started on a low note with a 0-0 draw against Sammy Troughton's side and then lost their second match 2-1 to Kgoloko Thobejane's side away.

But coach Jean Loscuito pushed his charges to get a win at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday as they are about to wrap up their playoff campaign.

Leopards were under pressure to claim a win on Wednesday night and they were successful in doing so, however, they will now hope to win at home if they want to make it to the top flight next season.

Currently, Leopards occupy second spot on the mini-log table with four points from three matches, three points behind Baroka.

A win for them on Saturday by three goals or more will see them level with Baroka but with a superior goal difference, and into the Absa Premiership next season.

“I’m happy with the victory over Stellenbosch, but disappointed by the goal we conceded. Maybe this goal can change everything for us against Baroka,” said Loscuito after the match in Cape Town.

“But I am happy with my players, because we played offensive football, especially in the first half.

“Maybe in the second half, we were not so good. Important today was to win and we scored three times as well.

“We will analyse this game and look forward, but we know Baroka, this is a team that has experience in the PSL.”

Turning to Kgoloko Thobejane's men, they are out looking to claim at least a draw to secure their top flight league status.

However, they must be wary of the hosts as they have proven themselves to be a hard working side especially after their win in the Mother City.

Although Baroka have already bagged two wins in the playoffs, they are aware that the job is not done yet.

Baroka managed to claim a 2-2 draw against Stellies, beat Leopards 2-1 and dispatched Troughton's side 2-0 in Polokwane last weekend.

Sitting at No 1 with seven points, a draw will be enough for Baroka to remain in the top flight, but a win for Lidoda Duvha could force the promotion battle to be decided on goal difference.

Ahead of the match, coach Thobejane said they are the kings of the province and their job is to rule come match day.

"I do not think Leopards will win the Limpopo derby. Their win will be a draw. We are ready for them,” said Thobejane.

“They know that they won't make it against us. We are the kings of Limpopo.

“We will go to Thohoyandou with the mentality that we will win that game. This thing of (Limpopo) derbies against Leopards‚ since last season – we have been the Kings of this province.

“They know very well that we are the Kings. They are now afraid of us.”
