Black Aces have announced that the central defender, Lehlohonolo Seema, has been released to complete his rehabilitation purposes.

The club released the following statement;

Black Aces regret to announce that a decision had to be made to release Lehlohonolo Seema from his contract. Due to a recurring injury and a torn anterior cruciate ligament, the pressure the club is currently under and the need for re-enforcements in the team’s playing personnel, a very difficult decision had to be made.

This was in the interest of both parties, as it affords the club the necessary financial position to replace with another player of equal strength, as well as presenting Seema with enough time and no pressure to fully recover from his unfortunate spate of injuries.

Seema has been an absolute professional in understanding this position of the club and has immediately agreed to this move. He wants to help the club where possible and ensure that Black Aces has all possibilities to finish credibly in the League campaign.

Marc Grune, Aces CEO, has lauded Seema and his complete professionalism.

"He is a true professional with great leadership qualities! It is a real pity to have to let him go, as he is a player we currently desperately need. However, it is too uncertain when he will regain full playing and match fitness and so we couldn’t take that risk.

"He fully understood this and has offered his help. We are very grateful to him and his agent, Steve Kapelushnik, for making this an easy arrangement. Who knows, we might still come together again in the near future", concluded Grune.

Seema was a big signing for Aces at the begining of the season and has not played a competitive game for Aces.
