There were wins for Free State Stars, Platinum Stars, Polokwane City and Mamelodi Sundowns in an action-packed day of MultiChoice Diski Challenge action on Sunday.

Free State Stars ended Bidvest Wits' title charge as they condemned them to a 3-2 loss at Goble Park, courtesy of a frantic six-minute period which saw Stars net three goals to put The Clever Boys to the sword.

The result sees Wits remain third on the table - four points behind table-toppers, Celtic.

In the encounter of the day, Samuel Julies’ solitary goal gave Sundowns a 1-0 victory against Kazier Chiefs, which allowed them to edge closer to lifting the MDC title with one game left to be played.

David Notoane's side occupy top spot and are one point above Bloemfontein Celtic, while Chiefs drop to fifth on the table.
