“I think we lost because we gave the game away, we should have scored three goals in the first half. We were two nil up and we ended up conceding goals.

“Reasoning for the substitution was that the player is sitting on two yellow cards and he was struggling as you saw he was heavily strapped with an injury. So we thought it would help to bring in someone because Ajax was coming through the middle so we wanted someone to assist, maybe we didn’t give the substitution a thought.

“We have to focus and give it our best, we cannot depend on Kaizer Chief to do us a favour but let wait and see what happens tomorrow if the results don’t go their way we will what happens on the 25th February.

“I tried to rectify mistakes we did in the first half, they were all over us we tried to get something from the counter attacks, we got some good actions on the flecks but we fail on the final passes but I told them how to put the ball in the box and we saw chances.

“We had extra player on the flanks which we did recognize in the first half and I tried to encourage them and try to get them back to the game because they were exhausted after 45 minutes, half of the team wanted me to change because they couldn’t handle the heat.

“The majority of my instructions during the half time break was to encourage my player to handle the heat because we were down one nil but we were still trying to get an equalizer, to be honest I was a little bit surprised after two nil I thought that was it, who’s going to chase two goal in 35 degrees but we ended up getting three goals .

“It is disappointing but obviously we need to sit and make decision on how to handle certain situation, we obviously need to regroup but MDC with 15 games is very experimental for everyone, namely the PSL, Clubs, Referees and supporters and there’s things that we need to pass on together so after two years we will know what it’s all about.”
