The South African domestic football transfer window reopened on 01 July 2015 and clubs can now register players with the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

There are sixteen clubs in the ABSA Premiership. During the season clubs play eachother twice (home and away) for a total of 30 games per club. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a defeat.
