Arrows host wounded Dikwena

Golden Arrows will chase a third win from four Absa Premiership matches when they host Platinum Stars at King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday, 30 November 2013.

Arrows racked up a second win from their last three league matches when they beat KwaZulu-Natal rivals Maritzburg United 2-1 in their last outing.

The Durban side has claimed seven points from a possible 15 at home so far this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bloemfontein Celtic (away), AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs (both home).

Abafana Bes’thende are placed 14th on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from as many matches.

Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat away to AmaZulu in the first of two successive games in Durban.

The Rustenburg side has won just once away from home this season and picked up five points from six matches on the road.

Their next three league opponents are Orlando Pirates (home), Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits (both away).

Dikwena are placed seventh on the Absa Premiership log with 16 points from 11 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Arrows and Stars have met in 20 league matches since 2003/04.

Abafana Bes’thede have eight wins compared to five for Dikwena, while seven matches have been drawn.

Arrows have won just three of their 10 home matches against Stars down the years, suffering two defeats in the process.

Last season Dikwena beat the Durban team 6-4 at home in a PSL classic, while the return game saw Abafana Bes’thende claim revenge with a 2-1 victory
