Mamelodi Sundowns have 40 000 votes and seem set to take part in the Telkom Charity Cup on August 7 at the Soccer City Stadium.
On Wednesday morning (just after 10am) the Chloorkop outfit registered 40 023 votes on the Charity Cup poll. Kaizer Chiefs are second with 35 064 votes.
Last year’s winners Orlando Pirates has 28 698 and surprise contestant MP Black Aces has 20 772.
Bloemfontein Celtic and AmaZulu seem to have given up on the chase as they sit on 9403 and 8461 votes respectively.
There are still nine days to go and fans are urged to rack up the votes for their favourite team, or teams.
