Kaizer Chiefs have been training in Pretoria for the past two weeks at the High Performance centre as part of their pre-season working out.
Captain Jimmy Tau expressed his delight in the success of the camp and described how the whole team worked extremely hard during their time at the Nation’s capital.
“The camp was a success and from the player’s point of view everything worked according to plan. We worked very hard and we still coming back to training this afternoon,” said the Kimberley-born player.
The former Orlando Pirates man has been impressed by the team’s work ethic during the past two weeks and expects to carry this vibe onto the new season.
“What is important for us now is to build on what we have done in Pretoria. The spirit in the camp is very high and we believe that we can do better than we did last season,” added Tau.
Amakhosi striker Nkosinathi ‘Chippa’ Nhleko shared the same opinion as Tau about the success of the camp.
“We really worked hard in Pretoria and it helped that we were given individual programs to work on during the holiday. When I reported I was still in good shape but now I am super fit.
