Ajax Cape Town opened their Fan Shop on Thursday August 20, 2009 and it was preceded with a fashion extravaganza in the Ajax Lounge.
After the fashion show, all the guests were invited outside to witness Kjetil Siem - PSL CEO cut the ribbon to open the Ajax Fan Shop officially.
Mr Siem said, “Whenever I am at Ikamva I am greeted with a special welcome and that is evident in the professional way they go about their business here. Now I am about to become a part of Ajax Cape town’s history as the person honoured to cut the ribbon here tonight, so without further delay I declare the Ajax Fan Shop OPEN.
Guests were asked to display some form of restraint as the Fan Shop could not contain the entire guest list at one time.
Once inside a wide array of Ajax merchandise welcomed the guests. The shop has distinct areas dedicated to Official Ajax Adidas range, official Ajax range of fan-wear, the URBAN WARRIOR range and a display of Ajax African-Art.
What an evening Greek Warriors, famous faces, great entertainment, the new URBAN WARRIOR range of clothing and the new Ajax Fan Shop. Ajax certainly does not do anything in half-measures and judging by the response from the VIP’s in attendance, the club will need to go into full scale production to keep up with the demand for the Ajax and URBAN WARRIOR range of clothing.
Local Ajax fans will have their first taste of the Ajax Fan Shop from Friday 21 August 2009 when the shop opens for business at 09h00.
