Winger Daine Klate says he is looking forward to the Telkom Knockout Cup clash against Black Leopards over the weekend however, the five-time league winner warns, “underestimate Leopards at your peril”.

“We are looking forward to the match against (Black) Leopards on Saturday,” said Klate. “The victory over Tuks has given us confidence again following our lull against (Bloemfontein) Celtic. It is very important to start building the momentum and cultivate that winning feeling again.

“However, against Leopards we will have to be at our best because they are a tough side to beat especially away from home. They have started well in the league and they have shown in the recent match against SuperSport United that they have the spirit and determination to bounce back and force a result.”

Interestingly, in the 2011 edition of the Telkom Knockout Cup, Orlando Pirates – en route to their first TKO cup triumph, played against Leopards in the first round of the competition, winning 2-1 with goals coming from Benni McCarthy and Rudolf Bester.

This encounter will be played on Saturday, 20 October at the Peter Mokaba Stadium – kick off is scheduled for 18h00.
