Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Mamelodi Sundowns continued to trim their squad on Tuesday as they released several players deemed to be surplus to requirements by coach Johan Neeskens.

The Chloorkop side stated in a statement that they have "been tireless in their efforts to try and place the affected players in teams, where they will get game time, some on loan and others on transfer".

Walter Mapoyane and Seun Ledwaba have completed their one-year-loan moves to United FC and will play in the National First division, while Mahlatsi Makudubela has moved on transfer.

Thabo Makgothi, and Xolani Mdaki also completed moves to another National First Division side, Santos FC, while Meshack Ramahuma will be joining the Cape Town club on a permanent deal.

Wandisile Letlabika, Sibusiso Khumalo and Thapelo Tshilo were not successful in securing moves to other teams which means the trio will be training on their own at the Club in order to keep fit.
