University of Pretoria Football Club have completed the signing of Senegalese striker Mame Niang from Supersport United.
The 28 year old former Swallows striker joins AmaTuks on a one year contract with an option to renew.
Niang believes joining AmaTuks will provide him with a new challenge.
“I am looking forward to it, it’s a new challenge. I’m the one who decided to come and they also wanted me”, said Niang.
Amatuks Coach Steve Barker also expressed his delight in being able to acquire the services of the experienced Niang.
“We delighted to have a player of Mame’s calibre joining our club; he has good PSL experience and pedigree, having played for Moroka Swallows and Supersport United for a number of years”.
“He also had a stint in the Bundesliga. We delighted to have him on board as he will give us a new dimension in our attacking options with his strengths and ability in the air as well as on the floor”.
We are looking forward to him adding depth and quality into our squad”, concluded Barker.
