The Orlando Pirates technical team, led by coach Augusto Palacios, is haunted by injury worries ahead of their crucial MTN8 clash against Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium on Friday night.

According to the club website, the medical team released an update indicating that two key players are doubtful for the match against Siwelele but the club remains confident they will recover in time before the big day.

“Midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo and Tlou Segolela will have to undergo a late medical assessment for the game, as they are expected to recover from their respective injuries this week,” the club said.

Palacios will be relieved to hear that defender Robyn Johannes has fully recovered from a left groin strain. Andile Jali and Mark Mayambela are nursing minor knocks sustained in the Carling Black Label Cup match against Kaizer Chiefs but they are expected to be fit for the Friday clash.
