Bidvest Wits will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Absa Premiership when they host Ajax Cape Town at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday.

Wits lost 2-1 away to SuperSport in their last league outing, a fifth successive defeat. They have not won a league match in 2012.

The Johannesburg team has picked up just four wins from their 12 home matches so far this season.

The Clever Boys are placed 12th on the Absa Premiership log with 26 points from 24 matches.

Ajax drew 2-2 at home to Moroka Swallows in their last league match. They have taken four points from their last two matches after a run of three straight losses.

The Cape side has recorded five wins and five losses from their 10 away matches so far this season.

The Urban Warriors are placed seventh on the Absa Premiership log with 35 points from 23 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Wits and Ajax have met in 23 league matches since 1999/2000.

The Urban Warriors have eight wins, the Clever Boys seven, and there have been eight draws.
