Black Leopards have appointed Vladislav Heric as their new coach for this season.

This is according to a statement released by the club today.

“We have officially recalled former Black Leopards coach, Heric to be the head coach of the team. Coach Sunday however has not been fired and will be redeployed within the team structures, having handed in his resignation after the loss to pirates citing that he had run out of ideas and had achieved his mandate of promoting the club to the elite league.

“His request to leave was denied and the chairman persuaded him to stay. The chairman based his decision on the back of what coach Sunday had achieved with the club in a short space of time, his football knowledge will come in hand throughout this season especially going into Africa where he is vastly experienced.”

Heric will be assisted by our current assistant coach Abel Makhubele.

The statement further says: “The decision to recall Heric specifically was because he is familiar with the Leopards football culture, we don’t want to start from square one as the season has already begun and are looking to build momentum that coach Sunday had started to build.

“Heric has coached 90% of this current squad of players and therefore the players are familiar with his management capabilities and style of play.

The club also announced by Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi has signed a season long contract with the Limpopo side.
